KOINONIA M. GIVENS, L.L.M. TAX. REALTOR®
Attorney Givens began law practice twelve years ago, in Florida, in real estate and land use. Since then, she has passed three state bar exams, including FL, TX, and MA. She earned her undergraduate degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Yale University, her JD from the Stetson University College of Law, and her LLM in Tax from the University of Alabama School of Law, and is a Massachusetts Attorney-Broker.
Attorney Givens is most proud and grateful for the privilege to mother three terrific boys. She likes to say that it is through her community service that she demonstrates her immense gratitude. In addition to being the President of the Board of the Koinonia Collaborative Institute, Attorney Givens leads the Yale Black Alumni Association-Boston, is a Director for the Yale Alumni Association of Boston, and is an At-Large Delegate for the Yale Alumni Assembly. Also for Yale, she interviews high school college applicants and serves as an ambassador for her alma mater as an Alumni Schools Association Volunteer.
She serves as a Brookline Town Meeting Member, representing Precinct 4, and Council Member of United Parish Church in Brookline. She also is a member of the illustrious Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and is a member of the Boston Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc. Attorney Givens’ woman-owned practice is in Brookline Village, where she also lives, and runs, and enjoys her book club – the latter two, as often as she can!
